The team at BJB Architects brings together a wide range of skills, and has successfully completed numerous residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality projects.

We have a passion for sustainable design, with a strong focus in functionality and adaptability, ensuring the longevity of your project.

BARRY BABIKIAN.

Director. Barry is the founder and director of BJB Architects. He holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of New South Wales and is a registered Architect in NSW (Reg. no. 8806). He has a passion for craftsmanship which tends to see him on site a lot, making sure our projects are delivered as envisioned. When away from the office, Barry can be found fishing in Sydney Harbour, searching for that elusive kingfish or tinkering around at home with some odd project.

PAREE BABIKIAN.

Director. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, a Diploma in Jewellery and Object Design and a Masters of Professional Accounting, Paree brings to the team a passion for well thought out interiors and a keen eye for detail. Outside of the office, Paree can be found either at the gym or curled up reading in her favourite chair, soaking up the sun.

JOVAN CVJETKOVIC.

Project Leader. Holding a Masters of Architecture from the University of Belgrade, and with international experience in Serbia & China, Jovan brings a wealth of diverse experience to the team. The creativity in Architecture is what brings Jovan to this discipline, coupled with the satisfaction of walking past a completed project. When away from the office, Jovan loves exploring restaurants and bars for the best food, both here at home and when travelling overseas.

POOJA DESHPANDE.

Project Leader. Pooja holds a Bachelor of Architecture in India and a Masters of Architecture from University College in London. She enjoys the journey that a project goes through and how one has to apply themselves in those various stages – from the broader range of conceptualizing and designing to the detail oriented construction. Whilst not in office, Pooja is usually documenting her travels and various life experiences on her blog or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

SANTIAGO RINCON.

Graduate Architect. Santiago graduated from Javeriana University in Bogota Colombia with a Bachelor of Architecture. The multi-faceted approach of art, functionality and innovation is what Santiago appreciates most about Architecture; as a habitable space for our ideas, thoughts and feelings. Outside of  work, Santiago loves to explore his surroundings on his bicycle, looking for new restaurants, buildings and monuments and is a huge football fan.

NEE SHUANG HENG.

Graduate Architect. Nee graduated from the Masters of Architecture program at the University of New South Wales in 2017. Nee particularly enjoys working in interiors and seeing how joinery, finishes and furniture bring life to and enhance spaces. Before and after hours, Nee can be found at the ice rink performing her twirls and jumps to the instrumental music.

TANMAY KULKARNI.

Graduate Architect. Tanmay holds a Master of Architecture degree from Griffith University, Queensland. Accompanying his father on various Architectural expeditions as a child piqued his interest in the field, which he believes is an encompassed experience, not just four walls a roof and a floor. Tanmay also has a great passion for aviation, and when away from his desk, you can find him on his flight simulator exploring the skies or near the airport, plane spotting.
